Southgate is the only locally owned and operated nursing & rehabilitation and independent living facility in the Metropolis area.

Decisions about the way we run things are made here, in Metropolis, not in a far away corporate headquarters where profits are placed above people.

While these days, it’s unusual to the see the owner of a facility like ours in the office every day, it’s expected at Southgate. Sam, our owner, was born in Paducah and raised right here in Metropolis. He maintains an open-door policy for employees, family and our residents.

We believe that our hometown roots make a difference in the level of care we are able to provide, and the amount of compassion we bring to our jobs every single day.

We’ve spent six decades earning the community’s trust, and we’re not willing to lose it.
