I have never seen a Nursing facility that has been as well staffed as this one. Everyone is right there when we call; you can really tell the staff loves the residents and their jobs. We love it here and we would never go anywhere but Southgate.

Richard was at another local area facility and we were told he was not a candidate for therapy. He would need long-term care. We would not accept that as an answer. So, we called and visited Southgate. They told us he would receive physical therapy right away and they would do everything possible to rehab him and hopefully return home.
We are proud to say that after two and a half months of therapy that is exactly what happened! Richard has returned home and is now walking and back to driving his car. We are so glad we came to Southgate for therapy.

The staff was all so compassionate and caring that they seemed like family to us. We feel very blessed to have been at Southgate during our most difficult time. The care and treatment Adrian received could not have been better.

I placed my husband, Warren, in Southgate 3 ½ years ago when I could no longer safely take care of him. The day I placed him in Southgate the Social Worker told me they would take good care of him and now I could go back to being his wife.
All I can say is they have an awesome, awesome staff. They would always touch, hold hands, and give hugs to the residents (prior Covid of course). There is a great beautician that comes in every Friday and shampoos and styles the lady resident’s hair and gives haircuts to the men – she even trims their eyebrows and facial hair.
They also have a minister that comes in everyday for Church service and church groups come often to entertain the residents. They even have a Christmas Party every year and Santa gives every resident a gift.
The staffs love and kindness go above and beyond but the most wonderful gift they give is their compassion! If this sounds like I LOVE THIS PLACE, you are right on.

We chose SouthGate Nursing and Rehabilitation Center after a family member was needing help regaining strength and independence after a stroke. We received several recommendations for SouthGate from friends who had previously chosen the center for rehabilitation purposes. Our every need was met with the help of a very caring team of therapists, CNA's, and nurses. SouthGate's administrators were always willing to answer questions and help guide us with assistance. The facility was very clean and orderly. We are extremely pleased with our choice and will recommend SouthGate to anyone seeking rehabilitation!
